Leading dramatic ballerina with Sadler's Wells/Royal Ballet and London Palladium star dancer, Gillian was instrumental in the development of British jazz dance.
Her distinctive style led to her record-breaking work on Cats (Olivier Award). Tony nominations for Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Aspects of Love;
Broadway: The Roar of the Greasepaint, Pickwick, How Now Dow Jones, Jeeves Takes Charge, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
West End: 42 Productions: My Fair Lady, Songbook, Tomfoolery, Tonight at 8.30; eight Royal Shakespeare Company and four Royal Opera House; the operetta Bluebeard for Sadler's Wells.
Her ballets include Lippizaner, The Brontes and Journey at the Bolshoi.
Countless television productions include "A Simple Man" (British Academy Award) and the "Muppet Show" series.
Among her 11 films are Half a Sixpence, Man of La Mancha and Yentl.
In 2006, Gillian created variations and a short ballet for the Royal Academy of Dance's Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition.
Personally awarded the Mr. Abbott, Austrian Order of Merit, Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award and CBE.
